Jack Parkinson
Jack Parkinson was arguably Blackpool Football Club's first superstar. Born in the town, where he was also a lifeboatman, he played in the first League game in 1896 and went on to play 389 League and Cup games and score 59 goals. He was originally a centre forward but was later successfully converted to centre half in which position he ended his career in the 1908/09 season. He died tragically at the swimming baths in Cocker Street, Blackpool in 1911.

Harry Bedford
A goalscoring centre forward who was signed by Blackpool for a fee of £900 from Nottingham Forest in March 1921. He was The Football League's leading goalscorer with 32 goals on each occasion in seasons 1922/23 and 1923/24 and he became Blackpool's first England international when he won the first of his two caps against Sweden in May 1923. He played 169 League and Cup games and scored 113 goals before being transferred to Derby County for a fee of £3,500 in September 1925.
Jimmy Hampson
Blackpool signed Jimmy Hampson as a goalscoring sensation from Nelson for a fee of £1,000 in October 1927. He scored on his debut against Notts County and never looked back with his 45 goals in 41 games in the 1929/30 season being a significant factor in Blackpool's promotion to the First Division. He scored on his international debut against Ireland in October 1930, scored twice against Wales in November 1930 but due to intense competition for the centre forward place he only made one further international appearance and again he scored twice, this time against Austria in December 1932. He still remains Blackpool's leading goalscorer with 250 goals in 373 games. He died tragically in a boating accident in the Wyre estuary in January 1938.

'Jock' Dodds
Signed from Sheffield United for a fee of £10,000 in March 1939 'Jock' Dodds maintained the line of goalscoring centre forwards for the Seasiders. After 10 goals in his first 12 League games had saved Blackpool from relegation in the 1938/39 season he became a wartime sensation, scoring 230 goals in only 157 games for the Seasiders. He won eight wartime caps for Scotland, scoring nine goals including a hat trick against England, but he did not play League football for Blackpool after the war and was transferred to Everton for a fee of £8,250 in early November 1946.

Georgie Mee
A diminutive outside left who was signed by Blackpool on a free transfer from Notts County in July 1920. He went on to play 230 League and Cup games for the club, including playing in over 200 consecutive matches that included four seasons of being ever-present between 1920/21 and 1925/26. More a creator that a goalscorer he still managed 20 goals before he was transferred to Derby County in February 1926.
